Tryout Dates Announced!

 

The Southern New Hampshire Baseball League is pleased to announce that the 2010 Tryouts will be held over two days - Saturday January 30 and Saturday, February 6.   Players are encouraged to come for both sessions, meet with team managers, and showcase their talent.

 

What:       2010 Southern New Hampshire MABL Tryout

Where:     Concord Sports Center  2 Whitney Road, Concord, NH

Date:        Saturday, January 30th

                Saturday, February 6th

Time:        Both Days - Show up at 12:45 for Registration, Tryout starts at 1pm.

Cost:        $10 (This charge covers both days - pay once, workout twice!)

 

Here’s how it works - come for the two Tryout days and be prepared to hit, catch, field, and throw (especially if you’re a pitcher). Concord Sports Center has batting cages and a small indoor field to do some basic fielding drills.  If you’re a pitcher, CSC also has an indoor mound where you can throw a short bullpen session (10-20 pitches).  If you’re a catcher and have your own equipment, bring it along - we’ll put you to work.  SNHBL is a wooden bat league for the 2010 season, so come with your own wood, if you’ve got it…

 

Side note on wood:  Inexpensive, quality wood bats can be found at many local sporting goods stores for as low as $20.   This is the SNHBL’s first season using wood bats, so we’ve been trying out different types of wood bats ourselves, and understand that not everyone may own wood bats already.  We would like to see you hit with wood, but if all else fails, feel free to bring your metal bats as well.

 

After both days of the Tryout are over, teams will draft players for their 2010 roster, and you’ll be contacted by your new team!
